Animation Workshop

 Animation Workshops at The Electric Palace


 The Electric Palace is offering the chance to explore how anaimation is made for children aged 10-12yrs. Each workshop will last 1.5hrs in which they will learn how to bring their own drawings to life using an old hand-cranked projector. David Cleveland-local author, film archivist & historian-will be imparting his knowledge and guidance throughout.


Date- August 23rd 2022


Times-10am and 1.30pm (you can only book on one)


Spaces available-8 children per workshop


Cost- This event is free but donations are always gratefully accepted


*All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult who must remain throughout*

Join us on Sunday 11th August, when we have a UK exclusive first screening of the first two episodes of AMC limited-series Monsieur Spade, starring the cinema’s patron Clive Owen in the titular role of Sam Spade.


Owen will be with us on the evening to help launch the new fundraising appeal as well as taking part in a post-screening Q&A.

The ‘#OurElectricPalace Appeal’ will begin with two special screenings on Sunday 11th and Monday 12th August.


Join us on Monday 12th August, when cinema patron Clive Owen will be on hand to introduce a screening of the film Closer, to celebrate its 20th anniversary.


Owen won a Golden Globe and a BAFTA for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Larry in the movie, as well as receiving an Oscar nomination.
